LocalSentry does not collect any information about you. There are no accounts, no analytics and no ads, and picture and sound never leave your network.
Picture and sound
Picture and sound are sent straight from the camera to the device that is watching, on your local network. The stream is encrypted all the way. Nothing is recorded and nothing is saved, neither on the devices nor anywhere else.
What is stored on your device
For the app to work, a few things are stored locally: the device's name, the devices you have paired with and their fingerprints, and your settings.
This data never leaves the device. You remove it by forgetting a device in the settings or by uninstalling the app.
Network and permissions
The app needs the camera, the microphone and access to your local network. It only looks for other LocalSentry devices on the same network and does not contact any servers on the internet.
This website
localsentry.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and its pages load nothing from other servers. The site is hosted by Vercel, which may keep standard technical server logs, such as IP address and time, for operations and security. The logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to follow visitors.
